Professor V. Shorts adventure this week takes place on a rooftop, joined by @Jake Simmons from GAF, to discuss Wind Uplift and the differences between CSA A123.21 and FM Roof Nav. During their site visit to a local warehouse reroof project, GAF’s Regional Sales Director quickly spots the fastening pattern and identifies that the roof installation might not follow one of the many tested roof assemblies provided by GAF.
Just in time! The crew was about to begin unrolling the TPO membrane in preparation for induction welding. It is a manufacturer’s recommendation that any insulation installed is covered before the end of the day. Therefore, this roof inspection occurred at the right time, just before the membrane installation, saving the TPO from being scrapped.
